Create-A-Clock

Directions:

    1. Download the Create-A-Clock Packet (Please Print Two-Sided)
    2. Read the Given Materials and the Requirements
      1. Given Materials
        1.  Mechanism
        2. Brass Retaining Nut
        3. Hour Hand
        4. Minute Hand
        5. 1 bft of Pine
        6. Brass Washer
    3. Requirements
      1. Must contain no more than 1 bft of lumber
      2. Must be a Clock
      3. Must use 3 different wood working joints
      4. One of the  wood working joints must be joining to boards on edge
      5. Must have a 3 dimensional design (no flat clocks with no texture)
      6. Must be painted on all sides (yes even the back)
    4. Watch the video of different clocks made in class.
    1. Watch the video on Different Woodworking Joints (click the arrow to advance) take notes about the different joints (this is graded!!!)
  1. Must use 3 different kinds of woodworking joints (1 MUST be the joining of two boards on edge)
  2. Must use the given materials unaltered
  3. Sketches of  3 completely different ideas (these ideas must have some 3D texture to them, no flat clocks with paint)
  4. Teacher Approval and Sign-off
  5. Complete plans for your clock (on the green paper, full size)
  6. Teacher Approval and Sign-off
  7. Hand in ALL material
