7th Grade Projects
You’ll make your very own wooden phone stand that holds your phone while it charges. You will get to use awesome tools like saws and the drill press, and you’ll even stamp your name into the wood!
We follow a special map to build it, just like a real factory. I can’t wait to have you in my class so we can start making things together!
In this project, you get to become a race car engineer. You will design and build your very own Air Dragster made of wood! You’ll use real tools to cut the body, add wheels and axles, and then use air pressure to blast it 60 feet down the hallway.
You get to pick the shape, stain it to look cool, and then test it to see how fast it can go. I can’t wait to see you in middle school so we can start the race!
8th Grade Projects
In this project, you get to build your very own wooden clock! You will learn how to join pieces of wood together using three different methods to make it super strong.
You’ll design the shape, paint every side with your favorite colors, and even put in the real motor and hands so it keeps perfect time. I can’t wait to see your cool designs on the wall when you get to middle school!
In this project, you get to design your very own tiny dream apartment! You’ll start with a blank map and decide exactly where everything goes—from your bedroom and kitchen to a cool space for gaming or movies.
You’ll learn how to draw floor plans just like a professional designer to make sure everything fits perfectly. I can’t wait to see what kind of home you create when you get to middle school!
